Well I've finally started my own blog. I'm really looking forward to sharing my food, wine, dining, travel, and photography adventures with you.

My first tip.... learn to love oysters. They are by far the most delectable things on earth. A squeeze of lemon and some freshly cracked pepper and they're done; keep it simple!

I've just returned from a holiday in Tasmania where I bought a dozen from this tiny little service station at Mundunna, just out of Port Arthur; $8.50 and shucked to order. They were probably the best oysters I have ever devoured.

Well one of them anyway..... I had some tasty ones from Nambucca Heads. We bought them straight from the farm, unopened. We had a small drive ahead and thought we could all shuck them together when we arrived at our destination.... NEVER AGAIN. It was such hard work but boy did they taste good!!

I work near Samies Girl Seafood in Hamilton (www.samiesgirl.com.au), they always have fresh quality seafood, sourced from all over Australia. Coffin Bay Oysters are my favorite for sure.

Where's your favourite oyster experience?
